Clockwork Voltage<\/a> gatherings bring together the Slovenian community of modular synthesis enthusiasts and include many artists active in different fields of art. The name of the community is a wordplay from Stanley Kubrick’s classic <\/span>A Clockwork Orange<\/span><\/i>, as the clock signal, one of the basic elements in the world of modulars, is a regular pulse that dictates the rate at which various devices are triggered. The community aims to promote live modular performances, which require a lot of experience and knowledge. The community\u2019s music is presented on their debut compilation<\/span> Happy Little Voltages<\/span><\/i><\/a> (2022), which is aimed at promoting local production and features 17 artists. The release, characterised by a wide range of musical expressions, is designed as a listening marathon that provides an insight into the current state of the Slovenian modular scene.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to Eurorack modules, the community also uses Buchlas, Ciat-Lonbardes and a wide range of DIY analogue instruments and vintage synths.<\/span>
