His debut album <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bad With Names<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> was shortlisted for the iconic Mercury Prize (2024) and won \u2018Best Album\u2019 at the Scottish Jazz Awards. In 2025, he won \u2018Act Of The Year\u2019 at the Jazz FM Awards public vote with Ezra Collective and Nubya Garcia the other two nominees, as well as UK Independent Breakthrough at the Aim Awards.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n<div id=\"video-block_ddfa1f00f145a0461311571065d00764\" class=\"block-video\">\r\n    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"corto.alto - \u2018WHODIS\u2019 feat. The tracks have received enormous radio support with over 3000 plays globally in less than 6 weeks as well as being on BBC 6 Music\u2019s A-Playlist . \u2018DON\u2019T LISTEN\u2019 was also included in the iconic \u2018FC26\u2019 soundtrack.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">His music is not just a reflection of his time spent as part of the burgeoning and fertile music scene in Glasgow, but equally an eclectic mix of influences that draw as much on his affinity with club-culture and electronic Music, as well as his love of classic hip-hop, soul and funk.
