Each name carries a story deeply rooted in local history.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div id=\"content-image-block-block_83f52d08d6c9d952176d51c8bdca5a2b\" class=\"content-image-block \">\r\n                <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ment.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/MENToring-Session-Artist-Management_M-Hotel-E_13.2.2025_Photo-Mas\u030ca-Gojic\u0301__4-872x581.jpg\" alt=\"Photo: Mas\u030ca Gojic\u0301\" \/>\r\n    <\/div>\n\n\r\n\r\n<div id=\"content-text-block-block_358a45d65d90945a61c62f4195de23ec\" class=\"content-text-block\">\r\n    <p style=\"text-align: right\"><em>Photo: Mas\u030ca Gojic\u0301<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>HOUND DOG<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> pays tribute to the club that once operated directly beneath M Hotel, on the very spot where the basement conference room is located today. Before closing in 2003, it hosted now-legendary local and regional bands such as Jinx, KUD Idijoti, Big Foot Mama, OKO, Bitch Boys, The Stroj, Sre\u010dna mladina, and Siddharta, whose frontman famously got his start working behind the bar there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>GAVIOLI<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> references Ambasada Gavioli, the internationally renowned rave mecca of the Northern Adriatic. Named after its architect, the 1,600 m\u00b2 coastal club could host up to 2,500 people and welcomed some of the biggest names in electronic music, from Carl Cox and Chris Liebing to David Morales and David Guetta. Local legends like Umek and Valentino Kanzyani were an unmissable part of Gavioli\u2019s scene. After years of uncertainty, the venue was finally sold in 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>PALMA<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> recalls the historic music space beneath Hala Tivoli, where music had lived since 1968. First known as Stopoteka <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> the first discotheque in Ljubljana and Slovenia <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> it was later transformed into Palma, a hub for DJs and live bands. Artists such as Magnifico with his band U\u2019redu, Janez Bon\u010dina Ben\u010d, and the group Bombe performed there, while a young Umek honed his DJ skills behind the decks. One of the most legendary moments remains the Blood, Sweat &amp; Tears jam session with Mladi levi on 19 June 1970.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\u0160UMI<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is named after the iconic Ljubljana caf\u00e9 that grew out of a confectionery founded in 1876 by Jo\u017eefina Schumi. From the 1970s to the 1990s, \u0160umi was a vital meeting point for artists, writers, musicians, philosophers, and journalists\u2014a smoky, debate-filled hub of alternative culture. Its spirit and community were immortalised in the documentary <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Chubby Was Here \u2013 \u0160umiju v slovo<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, directed by Karpo Godina.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div id=\"content-image-block-block_cee977292d89cd6bdf7a24119a44b36e\" class=\"content-image-block \">\r\n                <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ment.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Speed-Networking-Ajmo-Croatian-Venues_Mhotel_13.2.2025_PhotoTinaStariha-3-872x581.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n    <\/div>\n\n\r\n\r\n<div id=\"content-text-block-block_33d3f717ee29c4462b248a4d8b91fe42\" class=\"content-text-block\">\r\n    <p style=\"text-align: right\"><em>Photo: Tina Stariha<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All the other conference venues are located at <\/span><b>KINO \u0160I\u0160KA<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>KOMUNA<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, situated on the ground floor with an entrance on the opposite side of the \u0160i\u0161ka info point, offers an intimate, boutique setting for panels and interviews. <\/span><b>KAMERA GALLERY<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, located on the first floor, is dedicated to promoting and supporting visual artists and emerging generations. During the festival, it will host the appointMENT exhibition and numerous receptions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The modul@rnice Special will take place at the nearby <\/span><b>VODNIK HOMESTEAD (VODNIKOVA DOMA\u010cIJA)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, while a number of closed sessions will be held at the <\/span><b>COMPUTER HISTORY MUSEUM<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, just across the parking lot.
