Tom is the general director of one of Belgium’s finest and best-known concert venues, Ancienne Belgique, in the heart of Brussels. He studied art history at the University of Leuven and graduated with a thesis on the relationship between German and Flemish Primitive painting in the late medieval period. He previously worked as general and artistic director of Beursschouwburg in Brussels (2011–2020), as a performing arts programmer at the Vooruit arts centre in Ghent (2005–2011), and at the deSingel arts centre in Antwerp (2001–2004). Between 2017 and 2020, he was president of the board of the Brussels Art Consultation, bringing together more than 100 organisations from the Brussels arts field.
