Sonja Kralj

Sonja is a musician, musicologist, and cultural policy expert. She has performed with the Slovenian Chamber Choir and worked in music management at Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana, as well as holding senior positions at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia, including as counsellor for music and as general director for cultural development and international affairs. She currently works at the Permanent Representation of Slovenia to the EU as counsellor for culture and audiovisual affairs. The group of experts on international cultural relations, which she co-chaired, will soon publish its recommendations for the EU. Her dissertation on the history of the Society of Slovene Composers will also be published this year.
