Jude is a Welsh print and radio journalist, interviewer, reviewer, broadcaster and author of the critically acclaimed The Sound Of Being Human: How Music Shapes Our Lives, shortlisted for the Penderyn Music Prize and the Wales Book of the Year award. A columnist and regular writer for The Guardian, The Observer and New Statesman in the UK, she has also contributed features and interviews to The Quietus, Caught By The River, The Gentlewoman, The Times, the Financial Times and the Word Magazine, where she began her career in 2003. Her interviewees have included Paul McCartney, Dolly Parton, Damon Albarn, Billie Eilish, Laurie Anderson, Michael Stipe and Debbie Harry. She also makes radio documentaries, most recently The Birth Of Music, about music in neolithic times, for BBC Radio 4.
