Fernando Bittencourt Hersan

Fernando has been active in the European cultural sphere since 2015, with 10 years of experience in the live arts sector and European cross-border collaboration. He started his career at IETM, a network of over 500 organizations and freelancers in contemporary performing arts. In 2020, Fernando joined the Liveurope team, responsible for the platform’s communications and partnerships, and in 2024, he took on the role of general coordinator. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international communication management from The Hague University (NL) and a master’s degree in European public affairs from the Institut des Hautes Études des Communications Sociales (BE).
