PORTO MORTO
In just a few years, the Croatian band Porto Morto has become one of the most exciting and acclaimed regional acts of the millennial generation. Combining genres such as progressive pop, art rock, and indie electronica, the Zagreb seven-piece has developed a singular sound and style as well as an impressive visual identity, which comes to life in their elaborate music videos and live performances.
Ahead of the release of their upcoming album minimum, the band has already shared four singles, the dancefloor-ready ‘Paradoks’, summer anthems ‘Na površini’ and ‘Gužva’, and the hit ‘Tu’, an unexpected collaboration with Croatian rapper Hiljson Mandela, which represents the best of both worlds. Don’t miss the Ljubljana premiere of their new album – only at šMENT.

ELEKTRO GUZZI
The first headliner of the first šMENT is a band that performed on the opening day of the first MENT edition. The year was 2015, and Elektro Guzzi astounded us with their machine-like live techno performance. With just a guitar, a bass, and drums, Elektro Guzzi blur the lines between analog and digital. Without relying on computers and loopers, just pure live playing, they leave audiences in awe, from top festivals like Roskilde, Sónar, and Sziget, to legendary clubs such as Fabric and Berghain.
They are back with their eleventh album Liquid Center, which is sonically more focused than ever, yet more open-ended at the same time. The album presents the trio in a new light – their sense of precision and structure meets an unexpected depth and warmth. Their sound is now more restrained, more subtle, and therefore more expressive. Liquid Center is far from just a random collection of songs. It’s a well-thought-out album experience, best enjoyed live. At Šiška. At šMENT!

BALANS
Ready for the long-awaited comeback of balans? The Ljubljana duo, which in recent years has left its mark in the Slovenian underground as well as the wider Balkan scene, returns from an extended hiatus, announcing a new album for Autumn 2026. Don’t miss the chance to be the first to hear their new material at šMENT! The post-punk minimalism of Kristin Čon and Andrej Pervanje, described by The Wire as “the most minimal indie rock possible,” will resonate across the Ljubljana basin in a brand-new guise. Fear not, though – you will also get a fair dose of their all time classics.

DRHAL
“Fuck off, disco bitches! We’re Drhal. We’re a shit punk band from Ljubljana and we desperately want to sound like we have just crawled out of a moldy basement (which is actually where we rehearse). This is our bio, but feel free to tweak it. It’s already getting on our nerves.”
