At MENT Ljubljana we are dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint and fostering a culture of sustainability in the music industry and beyond. By integrating eco-conscious practices into various aspects of our event, we aim to minimize waste, lower carbon emissions, and promote ecological awareness. From using sustainable travel options to eliminating single-use plastics and offering larger capacities of plant-based catering, we advocate environmental responsibility through thoughtful decision-making and effective initiatives. Our commitment is to inspire our community to adopt greener habits and ensure that our music and cultural experiences support the health of the planet and its future.

Here are a few tips and tricks to make your festival experience more eco-friendly:

  • Ride together: If possible use public transport or shared rides. If you can’t avoid travelling by plane, skip the solo ride and choose a shared shuttle to and from the airport. Not only will you be helping cut down on travel’s environmental impact, but you’ll also save some money for merch. Win-win! Book your transfer here: Nomago. 
  • Hop on the bus, it’s free: With your festival wristband, you get free access to all city bus (LPP) lines. It’s the perfect way to leave the car behind and lower your carbon footprint. When entering the bus don’t forget to scan your wristband. 
  • Pedal your way through Ljubljana: In Slovenia, we love bikes! You can explore our beautiful city (or cruise between venues) with Nomago bicycles, available right outside Kino Šiška and at 40 other spots around Ljubljana.   • Bring your own bottle: Ljubljana’s tap water is top-notch and eco-friendly. Help us cut down on single-use plastic by bringing your reusable bottle and refilling it at the venues. 
  • Deposit system for cups: Say goodbye to single-use cups – with our deposit system at Kino Šiška, you can return your cup and help us reduce waste and reuse materials. More info soon. 
  • Hungry? Your favourite vegan festival kitchen Veni Vegi Vici is preparing a finger-licking gig for your taste buds, serving up vegan and vegetarian goodness. In front of Kino Šiška on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Dober tek. 
  • Recycle and separate waste: Help us keep the festival clean and eco-friendly by using the clearly labeled recycling bins at most of our venues. Sort your waste into the correct bin, whether it’s for plastic, paper, glass, or general waste. 
  • Go paperless: We’ve eliminated printed schedules and maps – everything you need is available digitally. Check our website for the latest updates, schedules and information and download the MENT Ljubljana mobile app (coming soon). Less paper, less waste.
