Awareness Team
At MENT, we want to work with you to create safer and more inclusive clubbing events for all.
Representatives of Rejv utopija will be present at club events. At Gala Hala, Gromka and Channel Zero on Friday night and at Kino Šiška on Saturday night.
We recommend a few guidelines to make your experience as enjoyable as possible:
1. Mutual care. The dance floor is a community space. If you notice that someone around you needs help due to excessive drunkenness, harassment or discrimination, please contact the venue staff or the Awareness team (at club events).
2. Consent is key. Before making contact, check whether the person wants the contact and respect the answer. It is also important to be aware of how much space we are taking up and keeping in mind other people’s personal space.
3. Respect and acceptance of others. Everyone is welcome and there is no room for violence and discrimination such as racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. The Awareness team will be present at club events in order to provide appropriate assistance to people who have experienced or witnessed sexual harassment, violence or discrimination. You can recognize them by pink reflective harnesses. The awareness team workers are allies of the person who has been harassed and provide support when the security services intervene and relieve the pressure on the club staff.
What is sexual harassment? It is any physical, verbal, visual or sexual behaviour that a person experiences at the time or afterwards as a threat, assault or intrusion that causes harm or takes away control of the interaction.
