A project of seasoned electronic music producers Shekuza (Miha Šajina) and BeatMyth (Igor Vuk), representatives of the local modular synth community Clockwork Voltage, SWAI draws from the tradition of raw Teutonic techno. Their techno explorations, emerging from intricate modular setups, range from atmospheric, open-form soundscapes to compact, explosive tracks made to galvanize dancefloors. On their poetically crafted debut V drevo, recorded in collaboration with poet Ana Pepelnik, they reveal a distinctive vision of Slovenian techno that transcends functionality.
