Born from a collaborative residency amidst the isolation of the pandemic, Sujevera are an unconventional quartet composed of Ljubljana music scene mainstays Nina R. Orlić, Barbara Poček, Urška Preis, and Luka Seliškar. On stage, they conjure a supernatural atmosphere through ritualistic expression, drawing on a diverse array of acoustic, electronic, and self-built instruments, including a processed harp, noise synths, found objects, and a computer. As heard on their 2024 debut album for the Kamizdat label, their music is a whirlwind of scorched drones, digital blast beats, and otherworldly melodies, coalescing into a sonic egregore with a mind of its own.
