“With differing musical backgrounds from psych rock to electronic and classic jazz, the quartet make music that’s indefinable in the best way.”
Will Richards, Rolling Stone, 2024
Few encapsulate the sound of London today as eloquently as the rising, genre-defying four-piece comprising c-sé (keys), Linus Barry (guitar), Nicco Rocco (drums), and Teigan Hastings (tuba). On their debut EP Not Real People, they present themselves as a boundless musical experiment, where their upbringings in different corners of the capital collide – from DIY jam sessions in East London to the reggae that bleeds from shop speakers into Brixton Market, and the grime and drill ricocheting from their peers’ earphones. Now signed to the legendary jazz label Brownswood Recordings, they have already attracted the attention of industry heavyweights.
