A new project of the talented young drummer and percussionist Gaj Bostič, Mrk was born within the framework of the Mladi raziskovalci (Young Researchers) platform. The group, a cross-genre ensemble of seasoned musicians, focuses on a contemporary fusion that transcends established jazz idioms, exploring celestial phenomena and reflecting on realms beyond the earthly. Each of their compositions—imbued with evocative trumpet and saxophone tones, a tight rhythm section, expressive keyboards, and lyrical guitar—reflects a desire to venture into the unknown.
