A versatile and captivating voice in Italian neofolk music, Maria Mazzotta seamlessly blends Southern Italian and Balkan sounds with deep respect for their heritage, grounded in meticulous research of regional vocal traditions. Her voice moves naturally and captivates audiences with sincere interpretations, immersing them in the cultures of the songs she performs. She has recorded six albums and performed at major international festivals. In recent years, she has collaborated with Albanian cellist Redi Hasa and accordionist/pianist Vince Abbracciante, further deepening her exploration of Apulian traditions and Balkan influences.
