Lifecutter: DELUGE
“Where many fail with tedious droning, dull layers of (dis)harmony, and overall monotony, Lifecutter manages to keep the listener glued to the speakers for an hour with an exceptional dramatic arc – perfectly measured pacing, unforced shifts, grand rhythmic entries, and constant transitions from the dramatic to the serene, from darkness almost into light, and swiftly back again.”
Borja Močnik, Mladina, 2025
Producer and multi-instrumentalist Domen Učakar has been exploring the borderlands between techno, industrial, noise, drone, ambient, and metal since his 2015 debut. On the local scene, he is regarded as one of the most consistent and stylistically refined artists of rhythmic noise and dark electronics. His latest album, DELUGE (Kamizdat, 2025), which he will present live with a special A/V performance, immerses the listener in tense ambient soundscapes while addressing the fundamental contradictions between humanity and nature.
