Kanalizacija
“The whole album screams for your attention to then release you into a beautiful garden full of roses with the final track.”
Simon Wayd, Bandcamp
You can’t expect the usual from a band in which a tuba replaces the bass. Their songs sometimes erupt in heavy metal or punk-like manner, and sometimes they dissolve into monotonic krautrock jams, while also finding room for catchy choruses in the tradition of the best boy bands. Yet there’s also an experimental jazz edge to their frenetic expression. Formed in 2019 by four experienced musicians, Kanalizacija played all the local jazz festivals, toured extensively in the former Eastern bloc, and got famous for breaking all jazz standards. With each new album, they’re looking for new frontiers to cross.
