The noise prophets of Prekmurje, Hexenbrutal, the duo consisting of Matej Kolmanko and Iztok Koren (Širom), have been forging their own sonic apocalypse since 2004. Their sound is a fusion of industrial, doom, sludge, and hardcore: slow, colossal, and merciless. After years of silence, they re-emerged in 2023 with a renewed vision. Their latest album Hexenbrutal IV, released in May 2025 on local label ZARŠ, presents eight tracks of dense, relentless force, where sharp precision meets rawness, blurring the lines between metal, noise, and ritual.
